Iñigo is a series of stories from my childhood, spanning from kindergarten to senior year in high school. I felt the best way to stay true to myself and the stories was to create a graphic novel. The subject of the book being something that affected me directly most of my life; my identity. The graphic novel is focusing on my lived experience in a bilingual and biracial home in rural upstate NY. While identity, learning English, trying to fit in with peers, and growing up as the first generation on one side of the family can be a heavy topic these stories are told through a lighthearted lens. The stories told are through the eyes of children and teenagers experiencing everything for the first time.Accessibility Statement
