Susan Bailey is a loyal and hardworking mother of two who gets the opportunity to move her family out to Roanoke, Texas to start a better life. When Susan finds herself divorced and working two jobs, she struggles to balance her work and home life, making her lose control of her children. Susan's youngest son David's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and disturbing, while her eldest daughter, Jennifer falls for a troubled boy named Paul Henson Jr, who only encourages her disrespectful behavior. Jennifer and Paul’s relationship quickly becomes obsessive leading them to create a murder pact to kill the people trying to keep them apart, their parents. On September 28, 2008, Susan Bailey met her gruesome fate when her children decided to turn against her by stabbing her to death and running away to South Dakota with her car. The police stop the children because of a curfew violation. The officer searches for any missing kids in the Roanoke area and quickly links the three children to Susan’s murder. Jennifer, David, and Paul are caught and fingerprinted. They are each placed in separate jail cells. Jennifer is left alone crying for her mother.Collections
