dc.description.abstractMy work investigates the black figure and its representation in art history. I feel people of color are underrepresented in the art world. For decades, black artists haven't been presented in the same way their white counterparts have, especially black women. My paintings focus on the relationship between the black figure and constellations of felt experience.
