Non profit theater’s donor base and expectations are shifting rapidly as the United States emerges from the coronavirus pandemic of 2020 and concurrent socio-political and economic crises. Through philanthropic research and interviews with non profit fundraising professionals, fundraising challenges theaters are facing are explored in hopes of creating strategies to develop new and more invested audiences and patrons. Nonprofit theaters need to rethink their programmatic goals along with cultivating a more inclusive community to initiate a stronger relationship with a younger and more diverse donor base.Collections
