dc.description.abstract | In this senior project, I reflect on my time and goals as an actor in the Mainstage production of Fefu and Her Friends by Maria Irene Fornes. I connect the play to three other contemporary American plays by female playwrights that also have all-female casts. The project touches upon the ability of women to uphold community through various coping mechanisms and communicative support systems, all the while facing the psychological impact of living in a patriarchal society. | |
