| dc.description.abstract | A Treasure Within Us is my senior project thesis that explores concepts such as The Empowerment Theory, perception and self-reflection, as well as finding personal empowerment. Throughout my essay, I draw several connections to my fall 2022 senior production, Behind Us Is Noise, which is a collection of original devised poems that relate to beauty standards and perception. Behind Us Is Noise discuss the many issues individuals face within marginalized communities and finding empowerment to overcome those challenges. | |
