The Men and Women of Beowulf and its Adaptations

Abstract

This project investigates the Old English poem Beowulf. By discussing how the process of translation forms our understanding of the text and exploring how the content of the poem opens the possibility of various readings, it is explored how Beowulf displays and challenges ideas of gender.
