    Abstract
Mythology has been an essential part of human culture and history. They were the key beliefs of ancient people and impacted their perception of the world. In the modern era, the concept of mythology has evolved how it fits into the wider culture. Modern mythology has now taken the form of digital media that has a sizeable following. With the change in the state of mythology, it may be beneficial to see the progression by directly comparing a common niche. The comparison would be formatted as a conversion of ancient mythology into modern mythology. A key aspect of mythology that can be used for the comparison is the creatures and monsters. Creatures are used heavily in a wide variety of mythologies, so to have an accurate comparison there will be a focus on a singular culture. The culture chosen was ancient Greece for its popular and recognizable mythology. For modern culture, Pokemon is the ideal modern mythology with its vast amounts of creature designs.
