RECOVERING BODY does not claim to act as any type of manual, how-to guide, or suggestion for being or wellness — rather, it is an account of personal experience re-inhabiting a body after benzodiazepine addiction and being gone for an extended period of time as well as a re-defining of what a body is/does through exploration of autoethnographic storytelling, poetry, and collage. These 3 mediums offer hope, choice, and freedom to confront emotional wounding stored in the heart, the connective tissues, and the aura by inserting themselves in the world as a new representation based on intuitive, critical imagination and dreams.Collections
