My senior thesis for literature will focus on trans characters in Greek mythology, as well as my own experience with coming out. The main topics of my essay will be exploring the ways in which these characters were represented and what that says about the time they were written and society's view of queerness more broadly. I will address issues within these texts that are still deeply ingrained in us today and discuss how trans people have always been and will always be in opposition to these issues.Collections
