dc.description.abstract | This senior project in Theatre and Performance involved working as the production stage manager in an immersive, multimedia original production of fellow senior collaborator Leah M. Bickley's Frame(D), with the aim of creating a successful project, and emphasizing the importance of the theater-makers behind the scenes. The work was supported by past theatrical experiences and research into production teams in the theater industry. Included in this project are three essays. The first one being an Artistic Aims essay, in which I discuss what my artistic goals for the project are. The second essay is a research paper in which I investigate and share thoughts on the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion within production and design teams in the theatre industry. The third essay is a technical essay in which I discuss the process of the play I worked on as my senior project, as well as reflecting on whether I accomplished the goals mentioned in the first place. Finally, I show evidence of my work in the production with documents created during my time in the production. | |
