A collection of photographs and objects that explores grief, parental loss, and the process of reclaiming ones sense of self. With the death of my Dad back in March from throat cancer, I felt as if I lost a part of myself with him. After his passing, it weighed heavy on my mind and it affected me a lot more than I expected. It greatly affected my photography and I found myself gravitating towards the idea of trying to encapsulate memories as if I was almost trying to "preserve them". With a combination of objects, prints, and instillations, I explore the trauma of slowly loosing a Parent and the painful journey of navigating grief.
