As I created the script for my play, Crumbled House, in addition to reflecting on my own experiences, I thought back on my personal life growing up with friends, family, and the reaction to change. I've been influenced by several films, a play, and a comics series that addressed young people figuring out their relationships, in and out of crises. In this essay, I also consider the impact the current crisis, the pandemic is having on young people and on myself. The works I will discuss below all informed my work in some way. The sources include the films Stand By Me, The Breakfast Club, Sarah deLappe's play The Wolves, and the Cartoon Network's Craig of the Creek.Collections
