In a world that has been heavily influenced by the male gaze, this project discusses the effects the gaze has on women's lives. The toxicity and harmful behaviors of the male gaze are dissected through the renaissance up until the 2010s. Forms of resistance, such as Selfie-feminism and new claims on gender fluidity, examine ways in which women have fought to regain control of the gaze over their own bodies. Additionally, there is the creative process of "Washed Up Mess" and the influences behind the project. https://vimeo.com/542301300
