This report aims to provide insight into the structure of how student led programming operates on college campuses. It will also shed light onto the many benefits of student clubs and events, not only for the students themselves but for the college campus community as a whole. Using qualitative research as well as interviews, this paper provides an overview of the role and significance of student led programming on college campuses. An exploration of governance and operations of student activities at Purchase College (part of the State University of New York system) as reflected by a profile of it's popular spring music festival, Culture Shock, provides the focus of the main part of this inquiry.Collections
