dc.description.abstract | This project is about General William Tecumseh Sherman and how his actions in Georgia were the true turning point in the Civil War. As well as how his actions in Georgia and the Carolinas ultimately contributed to Union's victory in the Civil War. Through compelling source material gathered by various historians and the respective memoirs of Ulysses Grant and William Sherman, this project tries to explain the actions of a complicated man in General Sherman and the ramifications of the radical decisions that he made at the tail end of the war. | |
