This project compares the main characters from The Seagull by Anton Chekhov and Stupid Fucking Bird by Aaron Posner, their journeys and the difference between the writing and the style of both playwrights. I took 2 monologues from each play (from the beginning and the end of the play), my team and I filmed it in two different styles (theater and film), all monologues are contrasting because they are showing the journey of each character through the play, the change in their thoughts and emotions. The projects also provides contextual information about the plays and playwrights, my analysis of the characters, acting notes and description of the filming process.
