dc.description.abstract | No Pedestals is a senior thesis paper which explores the politics of presenting art, mainstream success, and the mechanisms which operate beneath these surface level appearances. Using abstract, poetic, and self reflexive modes of discussing, my intention is to find the universal in my subjective experiences, and to gesture toward new solutions for contending with the label of "artist". | |
