Abstract
A media analysis of how misinformation is spreading on social media and how this has lead to an infodemic, where people cannot easily differentiate fact from fiction. A highlight of the app TikTok and how misinformation has been combated on the app. Also a highlight on how playfulness on TikTok has contributed to it becoming one of the most popular apps in a time of COVID-19 where people turned online for information, entertainment, and comfort.
