This essay explained how the Beatles were a cultural phenomena between 1962-1964. By examining the culture at the time, along with the band's history and development during years 1957-1961 made them a cultural phenomena. The evidence was backed up with theories by Leslie White and Wendy Griswold. White explains how culture is divided into three components: technological, sociological, and ideological. This essay mainly took insight from the technological standpoint. White states with the transfer of human behavior through technology this creates a cultural phenomena. Griswold's model of the cultural diamond which is an accounting device to understand any cultural object's relationship to the social world. This helps understand the relationship between The Beatles and their fandom while objectifying their music which led to the mass hysteria Beatlemania.
