dc.description.abstract | My senior project is a paper that seeks to explain and explore what perfectionism is within the arta and how a perfectionist mindset can be harmful to an artist. I will explain what perfectionism is, how to identify it, and how to deal with it through the experiences of several artists and the challenges they faced through their arts experience. The purpose of this project to provide guidance to artists who struggle with the expectations that they must be perfect in the execution of their art, and to reassure them that it is not the process that makes art perfect, but rather the experience of the art. | |
