The notion of queer time is an essential part of the formation of queer spaces, especially the homes in which queer people live. In many ways, queer life timelines reveal spaces as queer, and those environments provide an area in which to further explore queerness. By highlighting queerness in their design work, scenic designers have the opportunity to immerse audience members in queer spaces and help to showcase the way that queer time subverts the dominant understandings of productivity, legacy, and success. My design work on Springtime and A Robot Wrote This attempts to relay the subversion of normative expectations for relationships upon which both texts focus.Collections
