Growing Pains: The Complicated Lives of Children with Incarcerated Parents

Abstract

Having a parent in prison or in jail, impacts children in many ways. In this paper, three young adults tell their stories of what it was like to grow up with one of their parents incarcerated. They share how that effected them academically, socially, and emotionally, as they grew up.
