Education can be challenging for students of color in the United States due to systemic racism and discrimination. The system perpetuates inequality and disadvantages them. There are many barriers that impede students' academic success, including the lack of access to quality education and inadequate resources and support. These barriers can be difficult for students of color to navigate, and can lead to lower academic achievement, lower graduation rates and other negative outcomes. Hence, the white-black achievement gap, which reflects these disparities. Academic enrichment programs for students of color can help to close this gap by providing targeted support and resources to students of color. By providing students with the tools they need to succeed, these programs can help to level the playing field and ensure that all students have access to the education and opportunities they need to thrive.The following license files are associated with this item:
