dc.description.abstract | Why does the same music inspire one person and annoy another? What do our musical tastes depend on? These questions were asked by scientists from the University of Cambridge and they concluded that musical preferences are not accidental at all, but reflect certain characteristics of our personality. Differences in musical preferences depend on environmental factors as well as awareness of different types of jargons. This study involved the use of a careful literature analysis as well as the analysis of raw data. It showed that those who could be interested in new and interesting information were consciously ready to listen to new music. Thus, we can conclude that according to a person's musical preferences, one can fairly reliably judge his personal characteristics. And if a person is ready to listen to something new, although this does not mean that he will listen to it in the future, but the level of interest and knowledge about genre varieties and their characteristics allow us to call a person to open perception and readiness to listen to the beautiful sounds of music. | en_US |
