Abstract
Hip-hop Fashion and Black Materialism are intertwined in fascinating ways. This style, rooted in the streets, has become a global phenomenon, influencing trends and dominating the
fashion industry. It's a statement of identity, resistance and empowerment. Conspicuous Consumption, on the other hand, is a key element in hip-hop culture. It's about displaying wealth and status through material possessions. This trend can be tracked back to the societal pressures and historical context of black communities. Both elements create a unique dialogue within the fashion world. Challenging norms and pushing boundaries.
