Abstract
We live in an age of information and rediscovery, where we are learning how to reevaluate and redefine concepts that have been a part of our experience as humans, one of these being gender. There has been a movement for looking back at old wisdom and seeing how it is still relevant and profound within today's world. Specifically, reconnecting to ancestral wild women's nature and how to connect deeper with and understand menstruation. Menstruating people throughout time have always had to discover what their cycle means to them, how it functions, and in some beautiful cases, how to honor it. In our current age, existing as a menstruator is exceptionally difficult due to endocrine disruption and binary worldviews.
