Abstract
This paper gives a history of anti-semitism in Medieval England from 1066 to 1290, focusing on two specific tropes: blood libel and economic scapegoating. These tropes are compared to incidents that have occurred in Modern America from 1913 to the present day to attempt to prove a direct connection between the type of anti-semitism weaponized against Jews in both Medieval England and Modern America.
