Description
SUNY Cobleskill’s current strategy to improve retention is reactive. However, adopting a proactive model will help to create sustainability. All general admissions students should have resources such as mentoring and counseling. SUNY Cobleskill is a learning organization which seeks optimal results in various facets. It is important that the retention rates increase in order to compete with various universities that are similar to us in size, academic offering, location, and student population. Data has been collected from various students in retention programs as well as faculty and student mentors to better understand their opinions.
