Chapter describes the process used to implement an open access policy at a four-year public college. The open access policy encourages faculty to deposit their journal articles in an online repository to improve access and availability, increase citation counts, and enhance the profile of the institution. Includes lessons learned and suggestions for others on the journey towards greater openness.
