Lessons in Letting Go: A Thingstead is a self-illustrated chapbook length collection of poetry broken into three sections. The project has a distinct and relatively consistent speaker. It, in part, illuminates the process and consoles in the face of manifold loss as the speaker learns to make space for and welcome new love, versions of self, and light; subconsciously, unconsciously, in cars, and kayaks, with birds, and brothers, while plucking head lice, and on birth control.
