Abstract
This poster offers an introductory analysis of how scientists in the colonial period falsely presented Afro-Caribbean religions and their practitioners. It explores how these misrepresentations contributed to racial and religious discrimination, and how, despite this, such religions provided enslaved communities with a sense of identity, resistance, and spiritual support.
