Abstract
My art is deeply intertwined with storytelling and worldbuilding. I make narrative images of fantastical ethereal environments and intricate universes in which dramatis personae come to life and flourish. The surreal, metaphysical, psychedelic, and magical all come into play to express ideas of discovering identity, and role within society. Landscapes, drawn from our mundane reality, are distorted through a superreal lens. Worldbuilding and creating characters is a catharsis form of escapism. The pandemic led us to live on the internet regardless of age or accessibility. I believe that many people, like myself, have found solace by slipping into the fantastical, beyond imaginable creations within digital spaces in order to escape from the scare of the world we currently inhabit.
