Abstract
Interactive learning can transform abstract algebraic procedures into accessible, meaningful experiences for secondary learners. This curriculum project examines the effectiveness of interactive learning strategies in teaching Algebra 1 students to solve systems of linear equations using the methods of graphing, substitution, and elimination. The project consists of four sequential lessons intentionally designed to build conceptual understanding and procedural fluency through hands-on, collaborative, and digital activities. Interactive components, including algebra tiles for visualizing equivalence, a classroom scavenger hunt for identifying solution types, and digital platforms for immediate feedback, support diverse learning styles and promote active engagement.
