Abstract
Abstract This paper explores the correlation between TikTok and the geopolitical crisis among the United States and China. On one hand, TikTok poses a threat to U.S. national security while on the other, it contributes positively to American business and economy. This thesis will look at both sides. It includes news articles, interviews and peer-reviewed studies to demonstrate the need for TikTok to be investigated and regulated under American law. The thesis aims to provide a complete understanding of how TikTok shapes U.S. technology, national security and international diplomacy. Ultimately, this paper seeks to lay the groundwork for deciphering the complexities surrounding TikTok's influence, setting the stage for an understanding of legal, political and economic levels of TikTok's role in the ongoing U.S.- China geopolitical tensions.
