Abstract
Empathy is categorized as the ability to sense or feel people's emotions or literally to place oneself in another's position. The ability to emote is not only helpful socially, but is in creating work as well. The specificity that helps me create my work is enhanced by empathy forcing the viewer themselves to take on an empathetic view of the work. As an empathetic person, family and friends are specifically important to me. Thus, I came to the title Homebodies, people who provide a comfort not unlike home and people who enjoy being comfortable in a home - like environment.
