Abstract
This project aims to investigate the high time resolution radio emissions of the Crab pulsar, focusing particularly on its radio giant pulses (GPs) rare, highly intense bursts distinct from regular pulsar emissions. Building on recent findings that suggest a previously unobserved trend in single pulse behavior, the study seeks to determine whether these signals represent a new population of emissions. Using existing observational data and analysis tools such as PSRCHIVE, the project involves data cleaning, signal extraction, and pulse characterization. Results will contribute to a new theoretical model of the Crab pulsar's emission mechanisms and enhance our broader understanding of pulsar physics.
