Abstract
My senior project consisted of performing in a production of Stop Kiss by Diana Son. Stop Kiss is a queer non-linear love story between Callie and Sara, two women who become the victims of a brutal hate crime on the night of their first kiss. The play explores themes of discovering sexuality, and the effects of homophobia. My project also consists of a research paper on the history of queer characters in 20th Century American Drama that preceded Stop Kiss.
