Abstract
For theaters across the country, the COVID pandemic has amplified the challenges that they have faced for years. This is set in the broader context of the changing media landscape, which has been brought on by streaming media technology. Can streaming technology be used to solve the problems of access and equity in the theater industry, to expand audiences and strengthen theater revenue? The business plan, written by "Duke" David Burger for a start-up called Prosceneium, explores this question and advocates for a streaming media platform dedicated to film theater performances that returns revenue to theaters and its stakeholders.
