Abstract
For my Senior Project for BA in Theatre and Performance with a performance concentration, I performed several roles in my original satirical play Welcome America?!, which was inspired by my own interpretation of Augusto Boal’s Newspaper Theatre. The goal of my play and essays is to bring attention to systemic racism and the ongoing police brutality against African American communities, with the hope of opening up spaces for honest discussions to create a better understanding.
