Abstract
In my photography series, Juvenescence, I explored aspects of childhood like: imaginative play, interactions and engagement with others/environment, U.S. culture, and limitations by societal concepts. In these images I hoped to document and reveal these influences by describing children in their natural environment as they engage the world in the course of going about their day to day lives. I desired to reveal their unique reality where they are the center in contrast to an adult who lives a more measured and predictable life in a routine and fixed world.
