Abstract
Horror tropes affect our views on different groups of people. Therefore, it is important to discuss where these stereotypes stemmed from and why they keep making their way into these movies because they are degrading and should come to an end. We have to acknowledge why they are harmful and how they are affecting people and theatre is a way to do this. In this project I will be exploring how satire in theatre can lend to calling out stereotypes and reflecting on the production and writing process of my original musical.
