Abstract
The complexities of evolving through adolescence can be difficult, especially when bullying is involved. There are many variables in a middle school student's life that can alter the perception they carry among themselves and how they choose to cope with these changes. Middle school counselors are necessary to help the growth of students during these difficult times. There are several forms of bullying that are common among adolescents that are important to analyze. The studies mentioned in this paper will help to narrow the causes as to why students may bully their peers, as well as how those who are bullied become affected emotionally and academically.
