Abstract
Though an invaluable necessity in terms of stopping the spread of COVID-19, some of the lingering effects of face mask wearing are far from positive, particularly in the fields of early childhood development and environmentalism. Aided by evidence collected from interviews with front-line educators, therapists, day-care professionals, and nurses, the issues created by mask wearing are widespread. From speech delays and emotional issues, to falling grades and environmental pollution, the aftermath of masking will be present long after the pandemic can be declared over.
