Abstract
Abstract  A research paper is fundamentally an objective presentation of facts concerning a specific topic, culture or people.  When the writer not only experienced the environment under discussion but is the child of parents whose marriage and background are the heart of the study a different calculus is required and inevitable.  The instant paper involves a careful analysis of arranged marriages which are shockingly still prevalent throughout the modern world.  I am the oldest of three daughters born to my parents who are Albanian and married pursuant to such an arrangement.  My Paper is divided into the objective discussion and presentation of the origins, nature, and consequences of arranged marriage and my subjective feelings and thoughts as a product of such a union.  Both are essential to a full understanding of my life and the lives of countless other children born to such a relationship.
