Abstract
Identify the differential equation, test the solution and write the differential equation, construct a phase portrait for an autonomous system Use methods for solving dy/dx=f(x), separable, linear first-order, exact and homogeneous equations Identify and use methods to solve second-order linear equations and second-order homogeneous equations. Determine the equations and solutions for mechanical vibrations and electrical circuit applications. Apply power series and Frobenius methods Identify regular and singular points Perform Laplace and inverse Laplace transforms Solve differential equations using Laplace transforms method for initial value problems Use methods to solve linear systems of differential equations Construct numerical solutions using numerical approximation and Euler’s method
