Abstract
This curriculum project was designed to teach systems of equations through the use of real- world problems and scenarios. Its aim is to make mathematical concepts more tangible and applicable in students’ lives by infusing real-world application of systems of linear equations. This project includes a structured curriculum consisting of four lessons, presented in a sequential manner. It starts by covering the topic of solving systems through graphing, followed by an exploration of algebraic methods and their applications, all designed to facilitate overall comprehension. All lessons are aligned with the NYS Next Generations Mathematics Standards to ensure that the curriculum not only creates an environment where students can build their understanding but also meet the highest educational benchmarks. The literate review explores the coaching techniques and theories that formed the groundwork in which this curriculum was built upon. Keys for all students can be found in the appendix
