Abstract
As children become older and hit the adolescence stage and secondary level of education, they tend to have changes that appears in their lives. These changes are physical, mental, psychological and emotional, which become mental health issues. Mental health among adolescents is a main factor that they need to be able to control and maintain at this stage. Mental health and well-being need to be more focused on in students at this age to prevent self-harm. When looking for ways to decrease mental health issues, physical activity has been cited as a way to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. The purpose of this synthesis is to review the literature on the effects of physical activity on mental health and the well-being on secondary/adolescent students. Results of this review literature reveled that physical activity has a positive effect on mental health in adolescents (Li and Hao, 2025).
