Abstract
In examining multiple works of scholars researching the changes in African American history, this project aims to establish connections between possibly two of the greatest concerns in African American history: The Civil Rights Movement and the Black Lives Matter Movement. As documented in the bodies of work referenced throughout this project, there stands distinguishable similarities and differences between the two movements and this project serves as my attempt to establish a timeline in which we can see the progression that allowed for said similarities and differences. In that case, this project analyses the information researched with a focus on the involvement and usage of the different types of media that enabled both the rise and progression of the two movements.
