Abstract
Rebecca Shmuluvitz focused on drawing throughout the entirety of her MFA experience. As an inherently psychological medium, Rebecca attempts to understand her work through discussing her own childhood memories and personal experiences. Following the difficult events of 2020 and the global pandemic, the theme of death, burial, and internment permeates her work and is explored through different subjects and recurring motifs, namely landscape, insects, and dogs. The significance of these subjects are explored along with Rebecca's use of dark and absurd humor.
